MommyCast Show #323: Breaking Dawn

Thu, 08/14/2008 - 6:46pm

Paige and I have read Stephenie Meyer’s latest book Breaking Dawn. Have you? In case you didn’t know, Breaking Dawn is the latest in the Twilight series of books for teens. It was the fourth book and VERY much anticipated by the teen set (and, dare I say, me too)! Here is our review. Warning: If you haven’t read the book, save this show for after. We talk candidly about the book and the plots. We don’t want to ruin it for you! Our song is What Do You Do In The Summertime? by Insideout A Cappella. This show is brought to you by Staples. Thanks to Dixie for sponsoring our show.

MommyCast Show #319: Back from New Orleans!

Sun, 07/27/2008 - 7:17pm

We had a whirl-wind trip to New Orleans courtesy of Playhouse Disney!  We visited the set of the Imagination Movers - a great music group with a new television show airing this fall.  The show is geared to the under 5 age group, but we think it has appeal for everyone - especially the music.  You can hear a portion of their hit I Want My Mommy in this show.  Warning - its catchy!  Thanks to Playhouse Disney, Smitty, Dave, Scott and Rich and everyone on the set of the Imagination Movers!  We had a great time!  Thanks to Dixie for sponsoring our show!

A Visit to the Library of Congress

Tue, 07/01/2008 - 6:27pm

This is a VideoCast!

The Library of Congress has gone interactive! This is really cool! I had the pleasure of visiting the Library of Congress and seeing first hand the brand new exhibits and kiosks that help to bring history of how the United States was created, alive. This is a great trip to take for the 4th of July! If you aren’t in the Washington, DC area, no worries! The Library of Congress has launched a brand new interactive website too. You can start your experience at myloc.gov! There is even a way to continue your experience from the Library at home. This is well worth the visit to myloc.gov, the Library of Congress of both!

P.S. Let us know what you think about our new video format! Go to the MommyCast Facebook Group!
