Human Resources Director Responsibilities:
1. Counsel employees and managers on employee related decisions. Oversee the investigation and resolution of employee relation issues, anticipate problems whenever possible and develop and recommend appropriate steps for resolution. Provide coaching to managers and employees to help drive business objectives and foster the company’s culture. 40%
2. Responsible for setting the strategic direction of the human resources department. Develop and implement programs for all human resources areas, including employment, employee relations, payroll, compensation, training and development, organizational development, performance management and benefits administration. Ensure consistent enforcement throughout company by holding managers accountable for enforcing these policies. Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure HR practices and policies support the company’s business objectives. 45%
3. Formulate corporate property and salary budgets and work with the CFO and Directors of PM to ensure payroll allocations are budgeted appropriately. Develop and oversee the administration of the HR budget and approve related expenses. Develop the Human Resources group’s Business Plan, goals and metrics and provide appropriate quarterly reporting. 5%
4. Serve as member of the Leadership Team – 5%
5. Miscellaneous duties: Review and edit company newsletter; maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; attend and participate in professional groups and stay abreast of new HR trends. 5%
Requirements: Minimum of 10 years related experience. College degree. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to establish credibility and build rapport with all employees. Must be able to make good decisions that support the company’s culture. Ability to work independently. PHR or SPHR preferred. Real Estate experience preferred.
