Tricia Hellman Gibbs
Dr. Tricia Hellman Gibbs founded the San Francisco Free Clinic in 1993 with her husband, Dr. Richard Gibbs. Recognizing that in a city of great medical resources, many people still went without care due to lack of insurance, Tricia and Richard opened the free clinic in order to care specifically for this population.

Tricia is a family physician, trained at the Family Medicine Residency at the University of Washington, Seattle and is an assistant clinical faculty member in the Department of Family Practice at the University of California, San Francisco. Tricia is on the courtesy staff at California Pacific Medical Center and is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice.

Tricia is the author of numerous medical publications and is the past Medical Supervisor for the San Francisco Ballet. Tricia graduated from Williams College and Yale University Medical School. Tricia was a member of the U.S. National Alpine Ski Team. Tricia is on the Board of the Sugar Bowl Ski Team Foundation and is the Founder of the Sugar Bowl Academy, an accredited college-preparatory school for ski racers. Tricia is the mother of 5 children, ages 16, 18, 20 and twins age 14.

Susan Muck
Susan S. Muck is a partner at Fenwick & West in San Francisco, CA, in the Litigation Group. She has extensive experience representing companies, financial institutions and individuals in securities class actions, SEC enforcement proceedings, derivative actions and other complex commercial litigation. Susan regularly advises companies on corporate governance, fiduciary duties and disclosure issues. She serves as counsel to boards of directors in connection with internal investigations and shareholder derivative demands and advises financial institutions with respect to compliance programs, supervisory procedures and other internal controls. In 1999, Susan successfully defended a major broker-dealer in one of the most significant trials brought by the SEC in the past decade.

Susan is also a member of Fenwick’s Alternative Career Path Committee and the Women’s Initiative Committee. Susan received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1986 and was executive editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law. She received a B.A. with honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Maryland at College Park. She was recently recognized by The Daily Journal as one of California’s top 75 women litigators. Susan is a member of the State Bar of California and the Board of Directors of breastcancer.org. Prior to joining Fenwick & West, she was a partner with Clifford Chance, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison and Shearman & Sterling.

Amy Shuen
Industry Thought Leader & Former Professor (Haas, Wharton, CEIBS).

Amy Shuen is a thought leader in global innovation and digital media entrepreneurship. She has been a professor, venture partner, consulting partner and advisory board member. She loves sparking connections between executives, investors, entrepreneurs and innovative business models from different corners of the world. In Web 1.0 she led 50+ high tech venture projects and Strategic Expeditions (R) from Europe to Silicon Valley. New she is scaling up to “virtually mentor” the 12-14 million developers emerging in Asia by 2008 by launching Silicon Valley-style Web 2.0 conferences and mash-up meetings in China, Korea and Japan (high wireless broadband penetration and early 3G infrastructure).

Amy graduated with a BS Double Major EECS and English from Yale, holds and MBA from the Harvard Business School, and has a PhD from UC Berkeley. Other notable achievements include Strategic Management Journal Best Paper Award 2003, First Robert Noyce Research Fellow at Berkeley. Amy is also an accomplished kiteboarder, pianist and artist. She’s a recent convert to blogging and will be posting her notes and case-writing research for her upcoming course on Web 3.0.

Christa Quarles
Leading Equity Research Analyst covering Internet Services for Thomas Weisel Partners Group.

Christa Quarles is a Partner within the research department at Thomas Weisel Partners and has been covering the internet sector since 2000. In 2006, Forbes ranked Christa the #2 Internet Software & Services Analyst for stock picking. Some of the well-known stocks she covers include Google, Yahoo!, eBay, Monster Worldwide, aQuantive and ValueClick. Christa regularly appears on CNBC to discuss trends within the Internet sector. As the lead Internet analyst at Thomas Weisel, she is responsible for the development of firm's research themes and conducts proprietary research on the dynamics of the secular shifts of interactive advertising and media consumption. Christa spends significant time with private companies within the internet space to discern emerging trends that could impact the public market incumbents.

Prior to joining Weisel, Christa was an Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch where she worked in the Fixed-Income Research Department analyzing bond portfolios for institutional accounts.

Christa graduated with a BS in Economics and German from Carnegie Mellon University. She graduated first in the Department of Economics, received university and college honors and was named to Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Christa enjoys backcountry skiing, Iyengar yoga, and Pittsburgh professional sports.
